Launch of Cancer Awareness Campaign by DLF

DLF Foundation has been able to serve poor and the needy through various programmes and initiatives taken to promote rural healthcare in India. It has helped them stand in the forefront of bringing social transformation to the society.

Today India has almost crossed one crore population who are suffering from the dreadful cancer. And responding to the need of the hour, DLF has launched cancer awareness campaign in collaboration with World Healthal Trust. It aims at generating awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment assistance in the villages.

Lt Gen Rajender Singh, CEO of DLF Foundation elaborated on cancer awareness campaign. He said that the rate at which cancer is spreading in the country is alarming. Hence, there is a need to educate people about the importance of early screening to ensure healthy India.

DLF launched this campaign at one of the primary healthcare centers in a village Sakatpur, Gurgaon, India by organizing a cancer awareness camp. The camp welcomed more than 50 villagers who were active participants in this noble cause. The campaign is carried out to reduce the prevalence of common cancers including breast and cervical cancer. It aims to cover two village clusters in Gurgaon, over a time span of one year.
