Rural Development Programmes in India

“India lives in villages” a true line quoted by Mahatma Gandhi because even today more than 60% of Indians lives in the rural area. The people residing in rural areas deprived of comfort and convenience of urban areas like modern amenities, easy transportation, power supply, well directed education system, fully fledged employment opportunities, compatible health services and many more. The economic development of the country is directly correlated with rural development because the majority of the population lives there.

Village Cluster Development Programme is specifically designed for rural areas where every cluster is allotted one primary health care centre, Inoculation, Fumigation, Eye camps and mulch-specialty health camps are organized periodically, scholarship programmes for meritorious students, rural mobile library to develop reading habits and making books available to rural children, availing employment opportunities to literate people. The program is implemented proficiently and executed flawlessly in rural underdeveloped areas.

Human Resource Development in India

India is the second highest populated country in the world. And to utilize the most valuable resource that is its human power as a weapon, DLF Foundation has taken an initiative for development of Human resource by imparting basic skills and to make them self-reliant and autonomous individuals capable of surviving efficiently while contributing to economic growth of country.

The focus of the Foundation is on developing superlative citizens by enhancing their personal-professional skills, knowledge and capabilities. The foundation executes several training and educational programmes which empowers people to grow financially and increase the standard of living their by. Here we run Employability Linked Vocational Training Centers under the name of DLF LIFE (Learning Initiative for Employment). Bringing Million Dollar Smile with Skill Development Initiative by DLF

Skill a million is one of the major initiatives taken by DLF Foundation, to secure jobs for the lifetime. The initiative aims to prepare one million people to enhance their skills and face the upcoming challenges in the near future. This initiative started under rural development programme in 2011, to make India, a self-sufficient nation.

The investment of Rs 200 crores aims to establish 250 skill-training centers, under skill a million programmes. The foundation has already set up 17 training centers in Delhi, U.P., Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Uttrakhand. These training centers aim to enhance the skills in order to approach the leading industries in a reformed way.

The efforts are remarkable till now, as these training centers have been able to generate employment for many trainees in top organizations. It has provided a platform to develop skills and enable them to be professionally well equipped. Hence, providing vocational training to the unfortunate has helped them to approach the industry in a more refined form.

While DLF Foundation has brought significant changes in the lives of economically weaker sections of the society, it hopes to benefit many more in the future. With a vision to develop a powerful workforce for the economy, it will able to serve a larger part of rural development in India.

Launch of Cancer Awareness Campaign by DLF

DLF Foundation has been able to serve poor and the needy through various programmes and initiatives taken to promote rural healthcare in India. It has helped them stand in the forefront of bringing social transformation to the society.

Today India has almost crossed one crore population who are suffering from the dreadful cancer. And responding to the need of the hour, DLF has launched cancer awareness campaign in collaboration with World Healthal Trust. It aims at generating awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment assistance in the villages.

Lt Gen Rajender Singh, CEO of DLF Foundation elaborated on cancer awareness campaign. He said that the rate at which cancer is spreading in the country is alarming. Hence, there is a need to educate people about the importance of early screening to ensure healthy India.

DLF launched this campaign at one of the primary healthcare centers in a village Sakatpur, Gurgaon, India by organizing a cancer awareness camp. The camp welcomed more than 50 villagers who were active participants in this noble cause. The campaign is carried out to reduce the prevalence of common cancers including breast and cervical cancer. It aims to cover two village clusters in Gurgaon, over a time span of one year.

Empowering Rural Communities with DLF Initiatives!

DLF Foundation’s Skill Development Initiative, aim to provide equal opportunities in order to empower rural communities of India. It has increased employment opportunities for the unemployed youth by launching DLF LIFE (Learning Initiative for Employment).

In order to reach out the youth, numerous skill development centers have been established. Each center is well equipped with LCD Projectors, computer labs, headphones and much more necessary training infrastructures. While training the manpower, best-in-class training curriculum is circulated to local youth.

A large number of youth are well-trained with the new emerging avenues that comprises of Information technology, customer relations, sales, hospitality and construction. Suitable skills are developed with time which later becomes their source of earning livelihood.

Today, nearly 19 vocational training centers have been deployed to encourage youth of our country. This skill development programme in India has been able to bridge the gap between employment skills and employment opportunities.

DLF’s ‘Skill a million’ programme is one of the major initiatives taken to help secure jobs for the lifetime. It aims to provide technical education at much nominal rates. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has also addressed these concerns and has allocated INR 1,000 crore for the Skill Development Programme in India.

The programme aimed at providing 1 million youth with training and employment opportunities. A large number of vocational training centers are in the process of being opened. Today, DLF Foundation efforts is covering more and more areas and providing assistance to the unemployed youth.

Providing Better Healthcare at Every Step!

With the vision to improvise the lives of the people, DLF Foundation took many initiatives for Rural Development in India. Their mission is to completely eradicate poverty and enhance the quality life of people.

Under the development programme, DLF took initiatives to improve the education system of the villages. Schools are now aimed at providing better education through proper guidance of well educated teachers. Awareness programmes are conducted in the classes to make the future of every Indian brighter.

Infact, schools for underprivileged are constructed to provide free education to the children who are coming from marginalized families. Numerous vocational training centers are opened to develop permanent skills for better employability options.

Infact, the infrastructure of the village roads has also improved with great efforts by DLF Foundation. Till now, over 12.5 kilometers of the villages- Narsingpur, Nawada Fatehpur, Mewka, Naurangpur and Palra villages of Gurgaon district have been constructed. Besides this, they have assisted with the basic amenities in villages such as sewage disposal, water supply, provision of drains and electricity.

Apart from that, DLF has been able to provide better healthcare facilities to ensure their healthy tomorrows. A series of primary healthcare centers are established in the remote areas of the villages. These health centers provide free health checkups, medical allowance, diagnostic facilities and consultancy.

Regular camps are organized periodically in the villages to conduct free tests that seem quite expensive for rural people. All these initiatives, under the Rural Healthcare in India have been laid to perfection by DLF Foundation.
